Frying Pan Tower or as it was called by the United States Coast Guard, the Frying Pan Shoals Light Station has been acquired from the government and is in the process of being restored for use as a location for events as a unique bed and breakfast.

The
way to the top.
A previous hurricane effectively removed access to the tower by removing the lower half of the stairs that were wrapped around the North West leg. The first 'step' in getting back onto the tower and beginning the repairs is to cut off the damaged circular section and weld on new stairs...

The engineering team from Collins Engineering at the request of the US Coast Guard
performed a thorough examination and determined "the primary structural elements were
in satisfactory condition"...
